Most code editors that have native macOS apps will work with TeaCode seamlessly. Once you get used to the patterns, or create some that best suit your workflow, you'll be able to code much faster. You type a certain pattern, with variables and filters, and the app generates a line of code that doesn't need to be edited afterward. While you get to avoid typing a lot of the code, you often still have to go back and make modifications, reducing efficiency and limiting use cases. With most snippet managers, you just have a library of code blocks that you add to your document and then edit accordingly. It works with most code editors, either natively or via plugins. It uses patterns and variables provided by the user to generate code, making it more powerful than a classic snippet manager that can only store specific blocks of text. TeaCode helps you by making it easier to type lines of code. We're far from that being feasible, but snippet managers and code expanders can make a huge difference.

Your feedback and encouragement is very important for us! We’re really enjoying making Mac apps for you.Everyone's trying to make coding more efficient, some going so far as to automate the whole process. I’d like to thank all our users for being with us.
#Teacode mac update#
This summer we are going to update Workspaces, Expressions, TeaCode and ScreenFocus. This YearĬurrently we are working on a few updates. It got quite a lot upvotes on ProductHunt.įinally, we released TeaCode, the app that speeds up writing the code. We also released Monologue – a small, minimalistic app to write down thoughts and memories.Īnd, of course, ScreenFocus, our remedy for too much light and distractions from side monitors. Our apps got some nice updates and Workspaces joined Setapp. We still have our customers, but it’s only a part of our time. And that would be a brief story of Apptorium. In the meantime, we had two adorable kids, who would make a great programmer and a cute graphic designer, as well - at least I hope for that. Now we are the team of 3 developers and a graphic designer. But finally TeaCode has been released this year. Sometimes we had longer breaks (months sometimes) when I shifted to work on other stuff. Me and TeaCode – it's a complicated relationship. Or Workspaces – an app to organise all the mess around many projects. It is an app that was made to help me to work on TeaCode. You know - those small, nice apps, for example Expressions. In the meantime I came up with some other ideas and decided to make them first. The real work started about 3-4 years ago when I started working on TeaCode. Some of them have been successfully released, some were never finished. In spare time, which was hard to find in those days, I worked on Mac apps. But the real dream was to make my own macOS apps for living.

Back in these days I was a freshly graduated Computer Science student with certain programming experience, a 13-inches, white MacBook and huge hopes. Basically to work on iOS apps for my customers.
